We have been informed here in the Artviva offices that there may be a museum strike in Florence tomorrow, March 19th!  The strike is programmed for both March 19th and March 23rd, and will affect the Accademia Gallery, Uffizi Gallery and the Palatine Gallery in the Pitti Palace, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

All other state museums in Florence will be closed on March 25th from 8:30am to 10:00am.

    we did a family trip back in 97 that sounds like that a bit.here is the route we took:landed in Rome. Hired a Car.Drove to Florence (5 days).Drove to Verona (one night).Drove to Venice (4 days).Drove back to Rome (5 days with a very loooong day trip to Naples and Pompai)went back to milan a few yrs later and it was boring. just a large, expensive, industrial city.
