Visitors to Florence can be forgiven for thinking that the city is lacking in green spaces, as the many gardens and courtyards are hidden behind closed doors. These beautiful areas remain closed to the public except for one day a year. This year the day falls on Sunday May 23, when the city hosts Toscana Esclusiva ? Firenze Aperte, Giardini, Cortili (Exclusive Tuscany ? Open Day of Gardens and Courtyards in Florence).

This free event is a truly special way to spend a day in Florence. Artviva clients can ask at our office in Florence for a list of the gardens and courtyards that will be open to the public.

One garden that should not be missed is the garden of the Palazzo Corsini sul Prato. This garden was started in the seventeenth century and is one of the most significant gardens in Florence. The Corsini family is one of the most important noble families of Florence and this is a wonderful opportunity to stroll through their private garden.

Prince Duccio Corsini and his family live in this magnificent Renaissance palace. Prince Corsini is uniquely qualified to talk about Italian life and what makes Italy ? Italy. Artviva is proud to collaborate with him at our Festival evenings where our clients can hear him speak and sample his world famous wines nightly (Monday through Friday) at our office on Via Sassetti in the heart of Florence.
