Artviva presents: Rick Everingham

Rick Everingham, an Australian artist who has exhibited since the 1960s in Australia, the United States, Switzerland, Japan and Italy, will be discussing his art work at our office on Via Sassetti. Rick Everingham is one of Australia’s leading contemporary representational painters and his paintings are to be found in many private and corporate collections throughout the world.

Earlier in his career he was best known for his urban landscapes and still life paintings, then came many years of sensitive and subtle figurative paintings of children.

Since 1991 his subject matter has been drawn almost exclusively from the central regions of Italy.  Now working from his studio in Tuscany where he has lived since 1999 this Italian series is continuing, but has broadened in scope to include paintings from the Greek Islands and France.

Rick Everingham moved to Italy in 1999 and bought a house in Tuscany where he set up an art studio. His most recent works are mainly in acrylic and oils, but they also incorporate a variety of techniques of various media as well as branching out into stone and bronze sculpture.

Rick Everingham’s philosophy is that the world is a truly magical place where all things are connected and his artworks are his experience of that connection. Italians’ zest for life and immense cultural heritage influences his art works in a profound way. To hear more about his experience of being an artist in Italy Artviva invites our clients to meet Rick Everingham and enjoy a complementary glass of wine in our beautiful historic palace in the center of Florence.
