What’s on in Florence – farmer’s market

This Sunday June 20th in one of the quaintest and most picturesque squares of Florence, piazza Santo Spirito, a yearly summer fair will take place. Similar to a farmer’s market you will find Tuscan wines, cheeses and other gastronomic delights for sale.

Piazza Santo Spirito is located in the Oltrarno district of Florence. Oltrarno ?literally “across the Arno”? is the most charming neighbourhood of Florence.  Traditionally the artisan’s quarter you will find plenty of artisans’ studios, antiques stores, bars, and small restaurants.  Artviva is happy to arrange free visits to artisan’s studios for our clients.

But the Oltrarno hasn’t always been so peaceful… on our Original Evening Walk tour you’ll hear Renaissance murder stories and learn about Michelangelo’s murky past. After exploring the Oltrarno with your guide the tour concludes with wine tasting.
