25th April is la Festa della Liberazione Italiana – Liberation Day in Italy.
It commemorates the anniversary of the 1945 end of the Italian Social Republic led by Mussolini, who was captured a few days later as he attempted to flee.
In Italy today, the 25th April is a public holiday when many stores are closed.
