Putting the ‘fun’ in fundraising – In Giardino per il Meyer

On Sunday, 24th June, 2012 a great event is being held in Tuscany to raise money for the Meyer Children’s Hospital.

At the beautiful Villa Bardini, from 7.00pm at the Villa park, there will be a ‘tasting path’ to walk along for tastings of delicious local gourmet foods and wines of excellence presented by Slow Food Firenze and Umberto Montano. Some of Italy’s top food producers and wine estates will be involved, including Prince Corsini wines.

There is also a blending of art and science, with a sunset observation being hosted in conjunction with the Galileo Museum of Florence.

From 7.30pm onwards, the programme for the evening includes re will be dancing show, opera arias, music organised by the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and finally fireworks at 10pm.

To take part in this great and unique event in Tuscany, a donation of at least 50 euro per person is being asked, with proceeds going towards the  Fondazione dell’Ospedale Pediatrico Meyer.
