UCI Road World Championships in Florence, Italy

Mondiali di Ciclismo - UCI Road World Championships, Florence 2013

We love a good bike ride in Tuscany, but the upcoming UCI Road World Championships takes pedal power to a whole new level!

Many roads in the Florence city centre will be blocked off from Saturday 21st to Sunday 29th September, as Florence will be buzzing and burring with the Mondiali di Ciclismo – the UCI Road World Championships.

In preparation, the Florence roads have had a nice little facelift, with the local Florence council having been busy resurfacing roads and the like.

The best bit about all that bike riding in Florence, Tuscany, is obviously being able to eat all the carbs you want and there is nowhere better to do that than Italy!

The UCI Road World Championships Florence 2013 programme is online now.

If you prefer your   cycling in Florence, Tuscany  to be a little more relaxing, you’re in good company! (We’re also not opposed to skipping the Tuscany bike ride and going straight to the scenery and the carb eating on our other small-group Tuscany tours.)
