2014 marks the 48th year of this unique event in Tuscany. What began as a small event held in one piazza has now grown to be an extravaganza held in various pavilions and stalls located within the historical walls of Lucca.
Well over 200,000 comic book and gaming fans flock to the event, making it the third biggest comic fair in the world (the biggest being Comiket in Tokyo, Japan, and France’s Angoulême Comics Festival).
The 2014 Lucca Comics and Games festival includes a heady selection of screenings, meetings with the who’s-who in the world of comics and gaming, tutorials and courses, performances, tournaments and more. There are also special activities for children and families.
The Lucca Comics and Games festival is running from 30th October-2nd November, 2014.
